Why “homeless”?
The name found me in a coaching session, right after a visualization exercise. Sitting there, I suddenly saw the pattern I had been living for years: constantly moving, constantly traveling between Germany and Australia, always feeling the pull to be somewhere else. I had places to live, but no real feeling of home.
And then came the bigger realization: I had been waiting for that feeling to arrive from the outside. A place, a person, a circumstance that would finally make me feel at home. It never came. Because that is not how it works.
No one can hand you the feeling of home. No one can implant it into you. It is something you build yourself, through the work that only you can do. That day I understood: I am the one who creates my home. And it doesn’t live at an address. It lives within me.
That is what this blog is about: creating a home within us.
Who I am
I’m Kat, and I live and work between Germany and Australia.
For years, I struggled with an eating disorder and depression. I know what it means to be caught in a cycle that feels impossible to break. And I know how exhausting it is for the people around you who want to help but can’t reach you.
What got me out weren’t quick fixes or motivational quotes. It was people who shared their stories. Seeing that others had found their way out gave me something no advice ever could: proof that it’s possible.
Why I write this blog
I believe that every honestly shared story can help someone else find their own way, each one in a different, individual manner. Someone’s words helped me out of the dark. Maybe mine can do the same for you.
I write for the moments when no one else is around. For the days when you need to feel seen and heard. And for one simple message:
You can change your life at any moment, starting today. I did it. And so can you.
This is not a blog about problems. It’s a blog about solutions: practical tools, honest reflections, and small steps that add up.
